DESCRIPTIVE MEMORY

In Intep’s shield are distinguished two fields or meaningful places.

An elliptical stripe outside, is an ornament but in an obligatory sense. The relationship between the axis of the ellipse is from six to five.

It means something in the sky, moving around in a closed orbit, in a gravitational law. This is the space where the institutional mission functions and it gives a meaningful reason and sense to the institution work.

Inside the referred stripe, in an inner way, you can find the shield, where you can see the representative figures: in the lower side a stripe that says: engaged with the excellence, in Latin, that reflects the compromise of Intep community. It also appears two human figures, a woman and a man who extend their arms to hold a globe that is in the upper side of the ellipse. The column symbolizes the effort that the past and common traditions give to the towns, represented for a couple, means the search of the inside and outside knowledge. Around the inner figures there are two gold olive branches that represent the peace and the need the institution has to preserve the nature with the help of science and progress. The colors mean:

The outside stripe gold and yellow colors, the olive branches, reflect the sun and vitality, the loyalty, the knowledge, and the joy of our Institution.

The inner figures blue color, the couple, and globe, mean the Roldanillo sky, is the color we can see when the clouds go away, symbolizes the true, the justice.

The bottom of the figure is white and it symbolizes the purity of purposes, and the community union.

The flag colors are: yellow, white and blue.

Yellow, the symbol of the knowledge values, the joyful, and purposes in our institution.

Color white, represents the purity and the light.

Color blue means Roldanillo sky.

In the middle of the flag we can see the institution coat of arms to join the other colors.

The colors of the flag are organized in a vertical way, inspired in the continuous growing of knowledge to get the excellence. The color position has to do with visual perception.

We can see yellow color in the left side, and means the right side brain, related to sensibility, imagination, and creativity.

We can see the blue color in the right side, and means the left side brain, related to science, language and knowledge. The color shape has to do with space and time balance.
