The Institute of Professional and Technical Education from Roldanillo, is an institution of Public High Education, with the destiny of human talent training that is needed by the region and the country. Define by cycles to give importance to the Colombian society and education, under the efficiency principles, quality and national coverage.
Objectives
- To train competent citizens that leads to accomplish the social responsibility in agreement with the professional outline.
- To be conducive to research for innovation, using the available resources in order to contribute with the national, regional and social development, in the technological and technical fields.
- To offer a quality service in agreement with the academic results, to used processes, to the institutional foundations, to the qualitative and quantitative dimensions of the same.
- To be itself, as a technological and technical development, cultural, economic, political and ethical, in a national, regional and local level.
- To act in the same way with the other academic training levels to contribute to goal of common achievement.
- To bring about the integration and cooperation of many institutions looking to many country places to have the technological and human resources that lead to attend in an appropriate way all the needs.
- Promote the preservation of a healthy environment and foster an ecological culture and education.
- To preserve and foster the technological, technical, cultural, natural inheritance of the country.
- To keep the feedback of cultural, technological, and technical knowledge of other countries which contribute to the mutual development.
Academics

Research Factors
- To help the multidisciplinary and behavioral factor, the academic, scientific and financial cooperation of the institutions in an international, national and regional level.
- To provide financial and academic effort, for the creation of programs and projects, to stimulate the research attitude of both teachers and students.
- To create a research environment for the region in places related to the farming and livestock sector, computers, community development, and environment preservation.
